Any parent would love their child no matter what. Ted Bundy's mother stood by him until he confessed to her that he had actually killed all those women=right before they fried him in Florida's Old Sparky. The nature vs. nurture research is now saying that genetics are about 60% of what makes up a person. The other 40% has to do with environment, parenting, schooling experiences, Etc. Even a perfect parent could end up with a psychopath like Bundy. Any parent, however, is likely to feel some guilt, no matter how loving and competent they were as a parent if their child ends up killing a bunch of people or ends up a carreer criminal.

i would love my child no matter what happened or what he did. i would just hope and pray that with the tools in life that ive given him, he would make the right choices. if he snapped and did something wrong, first of all, id still love him, but hes never too old for me to bend him over my knee and give him an old fashion spanking!

Yes, I would love them. If somebody says they wouldn't love their child if the child became a bad person, that means the parents never loved their child in the first place.
Real love is unconditional love.
I know alot of people who don't really love their children; they say things like "if my son turned gay, i would disown him.", etc. That means that they never loved their kid in the first place. Their love was conditional.

A parent would still love their child, but for myself, I'd have to allow them to face the consequences of their own actions. If they were responsible for a crime, then they'd be doing the time for it.

you love them with everything you are.... but you don't have to like the person they are. the person they've become. a parent tends to think that their children are simply that... theirs.... but that isn't the case.. you "belong" to your children... for this reason.. a parent must understand that there is only so much influence you can have on your child before they begin to make their own decisions. whether you liek them out not.

Ouch thats tough. I mean its just a conscience thing to love what you worked for 18 years to raise and it would be a great dissapointment, but if it were me I would still love them, I mean they're your own flesh and blood, you gotta love them, but that doesnt mean you love what they are doing.

I would still love them, and I would also take at least some responsibility for how they turned out.
