I live in the UK and 9 times out of 10 when I rent out a DVD from Blockbusters it doesnt play! I clean my DVD player on a regular basis so it's not my machine. It's just sooooo frustrating and I wondered if anyone else had the same experience.

Because people rent them, scratch them, and then return them. When people return movies, they don't look at the disc, they just put it back on the shelf, so you end up getting home with a messed up movie.

I have the same experience at the public library. Other people do not take care of them when they have them. The library does nothing to try to clean them up or tell people not to damage them. People just do not care and have no respect for others after them. They think that everything is made to be thrown away, just go out and buy new ones when they get damaged.

Because so many people rent them before you do, they are bound to get scratched. Or try to get the DVD as soon as it comes out on DVD and your chances of it being scratched are low.

I even have had Blockbuster for as long as that's been available for online leases. i think that they are the superb because of the fact no longer purely do you get to compliment your kit you have chose (what share video clips a week) yet they deliver the action pictures on the instant on your place. Then, as quickly as you have watched a action picture that they deliver you, you may then take that action picture and the two deliver it on the instant decrease back to them for yet another action picture (like netflix) (in addition they pay for the postage!!) or you may take your merely watched action picture to the closest Blockbuster and on the instant p.c.. yet another action picture to visual exhibit unit for loose!! Then, on suitable of that, you besides could obtain action picture condo (or sport condo) coupons as quickly as a month for you to use besides. suitable now i'm receiving 3 video clips a week interior the path of the mail which I take to the closest Blockbuster and then commerce those in for 3 greater video clips each and each WEEK--PLUS i'm getting 2 loose action picture coupons a month. it relatively is a finished of 26 video clips a month I even have the potential of renting for greater or less 19 dollars a month. To me, you won't have the capacity to conquer it!!

People have less regard for an item when they don't own it. In addition, I play DVDs on my Xbox which definitely scratches them.

Yes, it's due to multiple people renting the video before you. Since it's not their video, the other renters don't care for (or about) the DVD since it's not theirs.

I live in the US and always have the same problem I feel it's because people just do not care it isn't theirs so why care. Just like people who throw trash on ground or wee on the floor or seat of bathroom .... ding your car door with theirs trash does not care until it happens to them.
