Not too worry about, perfectly normal. My Westie, Rosie does just the same. It's the pigment of the skin.

If he isn't scratching and has no lesions then it's just a natural occurence. It's just the pigment of his skin. I asked about itching because it's difficult to say without actually seeing it. Some people try to describe bananas and someone else pictures oranges. Get the analogy?

This happens with dogs.
It's a bit like suntan in people.

Its happened to all my dogs.
