You should ask yourself WHY exactly do you want to become a professional astronomer. If it is to be able to look through large telescopes keep in mind that very few professionals actually spend time "looking" through telescopes. Most of the time is spent analyzing data obtained through ccd images and spectrograms. Good mathmatical skills are a must if you are to become a professional. If you enjoy looking through telescopes there are other ways to go about it.
Getting a "gig" as a professional astronomer is every bit as difficult as getting work in Hollywood. For every professional astronomer that you hear about, there are countless others who you will never hear about, simply because resources in academia and NASA are limited. As a professional, you might look into teaching, as this is where most who persue a path in professional astronomy end up.
Besides math, you'd better brush up on your English courses too, as science's main language used internationally is still English (much as latin used to be). You can make a better case for getting hired if your english is good too.

Malcolm G has really given a good answer. I want to just add that if your really serious about it, the skills u need in both Physics and Maths are really of an advanced level. You need to have a very good knowledge of Mathematics, General Relativity and Quantum Physics. So if ur really serious about, u have to first graduate in Physics, and then get a Master Degree in Physics with AstroPhysics as your specialisation.
However, think carefully. Its difficult to make a mark in this area. All the best !

My advice is keep astronomy as a hobby. We used to have a joke in college although not entirely true it is pretty close, that there was only 1 paid astronomer in the entire country.
