It is believed that the moon originally traveled through space
until it was caught by the Earths magnetic pull. It would probably fly off into space.
Interestingly, a man, Zachariah Sitchin I believe. Wrote some books about how he thinks many legends are based on this kind of activity in space.
He says that stories of gods fighting were planets that got
knocked out of orbit by another planet that comes through our
solar system on a much larger orbit. After I read this, I found a Scripture in Job talking about, "Can you bring Mazzaroth forth
in its season".
He said the story of Venus being born from Jupiter was
actually the 12th planet pulling Venus out of Jupiter by its
magnetic pull. Jupiter has a giant Red Spot. And all the planets
spin in one direction except Venus, which spins in the opposite
direction.
I'm a possibility thinker. I don't beat myself up worrying if everything is true. I just enjoy the possibilities.

There is no way the Earth will explode. However, it could be shattered by a collision with an extremely large space object. In that case, some of the debris from the collision would probably hit the moon, with unpredictable consequences. Large enough debris could cause massive changes to the moon, and perhaps knock it into an entirely different orbit. Even without debris hitting the moon, any object large eniough to shatter the Earth would have enough gravity to affect the moon's orbit.

Since the Sun is 400 times more distant than the Moon, the Earth/Moon system's orbit around the Sun is 400 times longer than the Moon's orbit around the Earth. On the other hand, the Moon's orbit takes 12.5 times less time so it's speed relative to the Earth is about 1/30 of the speed relative to the Sun. This shows that the disappearance of the Earth would not have much impact on the Moon's orbit around the Sun. It would probably become slightly more elliptic.

Chances are that pieces of exploded earth hit the moon causing more craters on it. Quite a huge piece of earth hits the moon, it might also explode or throw it out of its orbit and cause a lot of disturbance in the G force. The repurcussions can not be calculated.

if the earth exploded the gravitational pull that had been present between moon n earth will be broken as a result it might move closer towards the sun and might become a satellite of venus!!

As long as most of the mass of the earth stayed pretty much where it is, nothing much would happen.
If a large portion of the earth were to be blown out of orbit, then the moon would slowly drift away.

Moon will become a planet. This one possiblity. But it depends upon the position of planets at that time of explosion and how much derbies hit the moon etc.

Why do you care? You would be dead anyways!! I guess the moon would continue to exist, if the explosion didn't destroy it, though it might drift towards the sun or jupiter (because of gravity) and be destroyed that way, because the earth wouldn't be there to keep it in it's normal path.
