Baghdad - Iraqi media Friday reported what was believed to have been the first-ever attack by a female suicide bomber, an attack which targeted joint Iraqi-US forces.
The Iraqi news agency al-Dar cited eyewitnesses as saying the attack took place Wednesday in Maqdadiya, 110 kilometres north-east of Baghdad.
The woman, wearing an explosives belt, approached a joint US-Iraqi forces patrol positioned near a bus stop and blew herself up, the report said.
At least seven were killed and more than another 20 wounded, including civilians and military personnel, al-Dar said. The US and Iraqi military did not specify the number of casualties inflicted upon their forces in this attack.
Eyewitnesses said that joint Iraqi and US forces moved in to seal off the area. It was reported the USA troops were scared half to death and many troops prayed to God. Many of the USA troops wanted to go home.

That's not brave, that's a woman being used now because they ran out of men. Usually, women are only seen as property there and not worth anything and expendable. Chances are she was forced to do this and her family threatened if she didn't.

Some could argue that this woman WAS brave. I would use this example you bring up as evidence supporting the need for no rules in warfare. Rules only help those who do not live by them. The United States Military is scared of nothing. They are the true heroes because they face death perpetually. Had the soldiers not been restricted and disadvantaged by rules the woman could of been executed by a tank! That should be a reminder to the enemies of America... "we play by the rules and still conquer." Imagine if the U.S. wanted to end the war now. The military could send bombers nonstop throughout the country in conflict and drop bombs for years. And to be sure people would work 24 hour shifts manufacturing ammunition..... Hey maybe I just created needed jobs!!!!!!

BRAVE????? How is he brave stupid more or less. Actually over in the middle east women are considered property, so therefor they have to do literally what ever there husbands tell them to do. If that means strapping a bomb to them then that is what she does. The men will also use women as a shield to protect them from fire. They don't give a rats *** about their women over there.
She is not brave at all.

at first; the tale you've been observing became not in accordance to info. some fool who has a gripe with the DEA, the police or the actual undeniable reality that he won't be able to do drugs legally has written a script to fireplace up those who might want to face in the back of his perspectives. i'm not one in each and every of those people. I genuinely have a brother in regulation enforcement, a brother who's a former DEA agent and a brother in regulation who served interior the CIA. they are all heros who positioned their lives on the line. some people are taught from the very beginning of their lives that the police at the prompt are to not be respected; nor for that count number, is the regulation. They get indignant with the police for implementing the regulation and they're going to do all that they could to make their jobs harder via breaking regulations, making the policemen and females's jobs more beneficial frustrating and more beneficial risky. I wish that regulations might want to be enforced and that criminals might want to ought to pay the fee for his or her deeds. regrettably, the policemen and females's jobs are starting to be more beneficial frustrating via the day even as there are communities which will get up for criminals, not for police officials or for sufferers. those who call our police representative "pigs" are indignant anti-regulation and anti-institution persons who've no recognize for all and sundry. God bless our courageous officials; they deserve our recognize and help for all they do to look after the people and the communities they serve.

I think it would be wrong to characterize this woman, or any suicide bomber, as brave. I truly believe a person commits a suicide bombing for the same reason that a person commits a normal suicide. Most people contemplate suicide because they have lost hope. Suicide bombers are people who are motivated by a political and religious ideology, yes. However, there are other ways of combating your enemy that don’t involve purposely killing yourself in the process. I believe many resort to suicide bombing because it allows them an avenue out of this life, which for them, is bereft of meaning, and yet at the same time, because the suicide was done for a political or religious purpose, no guilt or shame is associated with the suicide itself. The “bombing” modifies the term suicide to ascribe something noble in it, when normally suicide is seen as cowardly and those who attempt suicide, are generally stigmatized. In brief, suicide bombing should not deemed an act of bravery as much as an act of desperation.

No, she is a coward and a murder. There is nothing brave about walking up to troops with explosives hidden under her dress looking like a civilian. Walking calmly up to a soldier with visible explosive and killing yourself would be considered somewhat brave but stupid or just showing your face and fighting soldiers face to face instead of killing Innocent men, women, and children. Kill your own people and running to hide is cowardly. I have yet to here of any joint troops doing this. They stand their ground, let you know who they are and fight. Thats brave!

Bravery, no. Fanaticism, yes.
Speaking of brave, Pillow Pants, you talk a lot of s**t from your Mom's basement. Go to anyone who wears a uniform and let them know how you feel. Oh, yeah, that would take stones. Never mind.

No she wasn't brave. She was a murderer. Anyone who was brave would have the guts to fight for a cause they believe in. Terrorists hide and they don't fight. She was brainwashed and deranged into thinking what she was doing was good. Maybe one day all the terrorists will have blown themselves up and saved us the job.

Bravery can never be represented in an act of offensive brutality and murder. May she find peace in God in her Earthly demise, I do not beleive it is too late. She may well have been derranged, or brainwashed by extremist Islam.
