my uncle was a member of the salvation army band in sheffield. One time..whislt the band was marching from an open air concert..they turned a corner and ran straight into the filming of a scene from the 80's drama "Threads"..the director kept the cameras turning and they ended up in the final cut..lol.

I walked into a Soprano's shoot one time LOL!

It was an upscale town in north New Jersey. I ran out to the post office at lunchtime and decided to grab a sandwich from the convenience store/deli across the street. I noticed that the parking lot was roped off and there were a couple of large vans out front, but I figured they were doing repair work because I saw what seemed to be patrons in the store.

I opened the door and immediately heard a disgruntled CUT!!!! LOL

Some short guy with a lilt to his voice marched up to me with a clip board and snapped "you're either late" (I was dressed as snazzy as the actors) "or you're not supposed to be here!".

I said "maybe you should put up a sign..." He spun around and shouted "Who's the idiot who forgot to put up the f'n sign......!!!! I turned around at the same time and left.

I've come across "Sex in the City" shoots, I watched shooting for "Navy Seals", I've had brief interviews in a couple of small documentaries, and I've passed by many other shoots for who knows what.

This happens very often here in Berlin. I am no member
of the salvation army as Your uncle, but I also walked in
— by accident. Sometimes they cried: "Stop ! Cut ! Cut !"

Sometimes they asked me if I could do it again...
and again .... and again....
And so I was IN several movies* — and also payed very well.

Sometimes I just ask the assistant of the director:
"Do You need an extra!?"...
And they accept.... LOL!!!!

But Berlin isn't Hollywood... it is not that exciting playing in
a German movie from nowadays...

* as an extra.

Not as such. I was given £10 once by an ITN cameraman to turn off my lawnmower so they could do their live broadcast. It was the lawn outside the House of Lords on the other side of the road. As it went i didn't mind cause i had lots of grass to bag up.

I almost did once when I was working as a runner, I'd just been down the petrol station to get some fags for one of the actors and when I got back I almost walked up to him to give them to him but then I realised they were just about to take. How embarrassing would that of been!

No, I just sit in my trailer until the driver comes and gets me.
And I don't have to walk, there's usually a golf cart. Once it was a vespa, now THAT was cool!

No, but I've worked on film sets where people did. They just walk right up to the camera as its filming and stand there pointing at it and asking "is this a movie? are you filming?" DUH!
