Fighting your body is almost never a good thing.

If you crave chocolate, eat it.

Now here's how to do it so you don't gain a lot of weight.

1. When you want something (like chocolate) drink an 8 oz glass of water. Look at the clock and time ten minutes. See if you still want it after that time. If you do, eat it.

2. Chocolate its self in not very fattening at all. What makes chocolate fattening is what kind we eat, and how much.

Try to find a really good dark chocolate that you like, or if you don't care for dark, spring for a luscious creamy milk chocolate and keep a couple bars in the house and you desk.

When you give in to those cravings, sit down, put aside what you're doing, and have a chocolate break. Let it melt in your mouth and enjoy it, so your craving is satisfied. Spend a full 5 minutes eating about a half of a chocolate bar.

You'll find it satisfies you more than chocolate in your morning coffee or burning through 2 bags of m&ms while you're reading your email, or scarfing down a piece of chocolate cake on your lunch hour.

And remember, eating a hamburger and fries at a fast food place once a week is about as fattening as enjoying a big dark chocolate bar, twice a day, every day that week.

First don't buy them. That way they won't be in your house and you have no choose but to eat something else. Buy healthy food. I know it's hard but you have to give it a try. If you buy healthy food then there will be no junk food in the kitchen and you have no choose to eat what you have. It's OK to eat chocolate but not too much. There are healthy kinds of chocolate out there. Try those. If you really can't help it, have just a little chocolate but the healthy kind. Or just find something else to do so you can get your mind of it. Think how much damage the chocolate will cause you. Remember that if you don't eat the chocolate you will be skinny. Keep that in mind.

Chocolate isn't horrible for your per se, especially if you go for the darker varieties.
Just keep your portions small, say 1/3 of an average sized bar per day and you can satisfy your cravings.

As far as junk food cravings go, think about it in the same way you would your car.
Fill your car with cheap or contaminated fuel and it won't function as well. Give it good fuel and it works like a charm. You only get one body, and it only lasts so long, it's your job to try to get it to last as long as possible.

I have lost over 50 pounds now, lol, and I did it this way. When I want a candy bar, I will eat a candy bar...not obsess over it to the point where later, I will go and get 3-5 candybars because I didn't have the one:) If you really like to eat, your body will tell you what it wants. If you want a burger, get a burger, if you want a salad(and when your body gets use to getting what it wants it will start leading you to healthier foods, mine is) eat a salad. Don't sit up all night eating a half gallon of ice cream because you get depressed, think of something else to do...the weight will come off eventually;)

Go Within. Meditate. Get Still. Picture yourself healthy and strong and in control of the choices you make for your body. See yourself choosing fresh raw vegetables, fruits and nuts as well as casual chocolate moments. See yourself experiencing a feeling of total well being, pride and enthusiasm for respecting the house you live in. You are in charge of honoring your Self.Take the picture and the feeling back into the day and give Thanks that it is so.

you really have to just stop eating chocolate. after a week or two, you will no longer have the craving. you just have to get it out of your system.

Try drinking a big glass of water when you are craving junk food, it helps fill you up and will make the "head hunger" go away.

Stop eating it. The craving will get worse, and then die off. It's called addiction.

Eat fruit instead. Designate one day a week that you'll allow yourself to have one chocolate bar (or whatever). Drink lots of water!!!
