Toss up between a few... I can't pick one but if I had to, I would say Indochine... Anything worth watching in french, with subtitles is always great!

Indochine. All time favorite movie I guess? To me, it is just great!

De Lovely Fun, sad, happy, beauty, dark and just everything!

The Piano dark and disturbing, sexy and taboo!!

Heaven & Earth. beautiful...

Stealing Heaven (If you can find it anymore?) it is awesome!
It is the story of Helouise and Abelard

The original Romeo and Juliet (the 60's version)
I loved the 90's version too, but this was just perfect for the times and beautifully done.

The Joy Luck Club. total favorite tear jerker movie.

For Horror...

The Hunger. is my favorite cult classic... and I obviously love Catherine Deneuve.

13 Ghosts

The shining

The exorsist

There are so many to choose from. Depends on the Category. But I think there are a few movies that really stand out. Armegeddon, The Notebook, The exorcist, and American Pie. Once from each category.
