Start of casual, 'i was thinking about the time when we... the other day and realised its been a while since we caught up, so, how are you these days?' Then you can judge whether they are up for talking to you or not by their tone and how much they talk back but you can't expect it to be the same as before and you might have grown apart and just have to accept that.

It depends on why you haven't spoken. I lost touch with a friend for 12 years. I phoned her out of the blue & it was great. Not awkward or anything - like we had apoken last week. I phoned & spoke to her hubby first then i explained who i was to my friend & it just went on from there. Good luck

ahh Russel dont even think about it,u cood make urself ill("~)...do not preplan things to say or do ect,dont even think about that(they will see thru it)...just relax and simply b yourself,...even if ur sitting avin a coffee out somwhere and u talk about the garbage lieing in the gutter...or u see that person and u wanna jump up and down in excitement do wot u feel is natural for that time ..people love that just goin with the flow of the time...enjoy neway;) xx

Depends on them depends on you I have a mate he's a bit of a bore to be honest but when we get in touch (five years longest silence so far) we just pick up as if the weeks, months or years had never happened. A mate is a MATE.

i had this problem the other week ran into my best friend from high school we were close then but we drifted ( like every1 does) and it felt well weird just ask what they been up to? how are they? the family because if you were good mate you will know their mum/ dad and tell them about you then the next time you see them you will have more to talk about
