I don't usually agree with critics, however, I can't always rely on my friends either because we all have different tastes in movies. Most of the time, if the movie looks good to me, I'll go ahead and see it regardless what anybody says. And if I'm not certain, I just play it safe and wait to rent it on DVD!

Definitely a friend! Friends are the folks you relate with.

For some reason critics always think weird stuff like foreign films, or "artistic" films are better.

Critics never liked any of the Austin Powers movies. Dang, we quote them all the time!

I'd probably read a critic's review and then go make up my own mind about the movie.
But i have listened to a friend before and watched a movie cause of their recommendation, but it turned out it was a stupid movie. I still can't believe he thinks it's the best movie. Just in case you're wondering the movie was "Steel Magnolias".

I don't really listen to either because I have been in situations when the critic said the movie was bad, but I thought it was rather good and the same when it comes to a friend. I judge movies myself.

I generally don't read movie reviews until after I've seen the films. I just hate it when they give away so much of the plot.

I have several friends whose taste and judgment I trust when it comes to things like movies. If one of them recommended a particular film, I'd see it, even if I wasn't planning to before.

I usually try to keep an open mind and watch movies then critique them as either good or bad. Sometimes I'll ask buddie's opinions, then I go see the movie regardless and compare their opinion with my own.

I'd trust a friend more than a critic because I know my friend.
