This movie had little vignettes, sort of like a "Tales from the Darkside" movie. One of them was about a film crew that went to a tiny secluded village. The director became friends with a girl in the village. He disovered that the village digs up their dead and eats them ... he tries to escape with the girl, but the village chases them down and hits the girl in the back with a rock. The director leaves, hitches a ride, but the people who give him a ride are actually taking him back to the village ... has anyone heard of it?

I know exactly which movie you are speaking about. I've seen it myself.
I've checked online with "tales from the darkside", "amazing stories", "twilight zone", "rod serling's 'nightgallery' ", "creepshow", "the uncanny", "horror movie vignettes" and I am unable to find it. I remember watching it on tv back in the 80's but cannot for the life of me find it anywhere on the net.
I will try to keep searching. If I find anything, I will definately let you know.
