Maintaining passion and desire will continue making sex exciting. If you continue to love and enjoy your partner, it will feel exciting each time. Continue to play and explore and experiment to add some extra zest. Unfortunately, real life and it's problems and the difficulties a marriage WILL face, can affect what happens once the bedroom door closes.

For me 2 years. It's realative to the couple. Some longer, some shorter.
I'm going on 6 years now and it's become casual and routine. Nothing wrong with that...I'm still happy to see him at the end of the day, I just don't get all giddy and excited about it like I use to.
Just keep trying to mix things up and hopefully that feeling will last a long time.
Btw - "Trying" to have a baby sucks a lot of fun out of things (after the first week or two that is...).

If you are looking for excitement, don't get married. I expect that the opposite of excitement is boredom. One way to tell if you are ready for marriage is when you know that you don't need excitement to have a good time. That may sound less than real, but believe me, being bored is a youngsters thing. Life is never boring once you are into middle age.
If you have time to be bored, you watch TV, take a well deserved nape or take all those notes you meant to jot down or do some reading or writing you meant to do.
You can always use time to paint the bedroom walls, work in the garage or pull weeds. Boredom like excitement are commodities you just don't have time for anymore. In fact, on a scale of 1 to 5, worrying about excitement is about as boring as it gets.

It's a roller coaster ride. My husband and I have been together for 14 years and when it gets a little boring, you simply spice it up! Just make sure you both communicate openly and honestly with each other on a regular basis. Talk about each others fantasies and oblige each other to the best of your ability! Visit sex/lingerie shops together once in a while, subscibe to an adult alternative magazine that will give you some fresh ideas. Most of all, relax, enjoy and have fun!!! It's not going to be major thrills and excitement all of the time, but that is to be expected.

26+ years and still exciting! As some have pointed out, things take a dip when kids come into the picture, but now that ours are teens and more independent, it's better than ever between us. Frequency may decline, but the intensity just keeps going up if you love each other and make the effort. We're doing things together that she wouldn't even discuss 15 years ago, and loving it.

usually after a year or the first baby come along and things cool down. Depends on you and your man. Its still exciting for me to look and my man and know how much he means to me after 45 years. I still excite him and sex is just as good.

How ever long you make it exciting. Sex is a mind thing and if the couple does not allow each other to be creative then the sex will be gone.

That is a question that I have always wondered myself that's why I'm so skeptical about getting married because the question is how long does everything last? I think it would be fine if you tried different stuff every once in awhile and if you don't do it too much because that does make it boring.
