Trying to make a long story short. Five years ago my mom found out her husband (my stepdad) was raping my 12 year old sister at the time and filed charges. He killed himself outside the courthouse and we tried to move on. Two years ago my mom found out her new boyfriend had been cheating on her and she broke up with him. A month later he died of melanoma cancer. We just went on cruise to the Caribean a week ago and she met a new guy. He has admitted to his weekly crack addiction and I found out last night that after a week of my mom knowing this guy he is moving 400 miles from his sisters house into hers. All of these guys that have been in her life since my father have been lowlifes and all been underneath her. She has struggled through a vicodin addiction and is 8 and a half months clean. She has done so much for me like buy me a 30,000 dollar car in June and raise me to be a productive adult. I love her so much but I don't know what to do anymore. don't want to go through this again

Just be there for her when this crashes, let her know how good you turned out because of her. Just be her friend, listen when she cries, laugh when she laughs, she's had a hard life and it doesnt seem that she wants to change any patterns so there really isnt to much you can do to stop her from crashing again, just be there to cushion the fall.

Unfortunately your moms life is her own to live as she chooses. The best thing you can do is talk to her and tell her how much you love her and let her know that your concerned about her choice to let this guy into her life. Don't be mean and don't get upset, just let her know you care and are concerned. If she still chooses to be with this guy then just make sure you remain a constant in her life and be around enough to know if he is taking advantage of your mom or hurting her in any way. Then take action if that is the case.

All you can do is talk to her and voice your concerns. The fact of the matter is she is an adult and is going to do as she pleases. It sounds to me like she has trouble being alone without a man in her life, even if it is a worthless man. Point this out to her, but once again, you cannot make decisions for her.
