I want you to think about all the wars America has fought since 1900.
Think about all the bases America has all over the world such as Japan, South Korea, Germany, Cuba, etc.

Do you really think America is going to cut and run from Iraq?

Why are people so stupid that they think America can JUST LEAVE a country after occupying it? Its not the democrats either, I hear lots of republicans talking that smack since they are tired of seeing White kids coming back from Iraq missing hands, arms and legs.

Keep in mind, for every country America invades, that is manpower we have to leave in place.

I work in the Government, I know.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to come to that conclusion. We will "garrision" Iraq for generations to come given the region, importance to "national security" (read oil supply and business there), stability in the region and as a hedge to Iran.

What in the heck does "white kids" have to do with this? What other races don't count?

America will never leave Iraq. In fact Bush and his neo-cons want to establish a firm position right in the center of the Mid-east. Their original plan was for Iraq to be a model democracy. They obviously still think it is possible.

I don't know if this is really a question - sounds more like a rant. America can't necessarily "cut and run" from Iraq, they are in there and have to finish the job. The question is, CAN we finish the job and what exactly does "finish the job" mean.

Just because you work in goverment doesn't mean you "know" anything.

Your right. I agree the coalition forces should be removed but now they are in there they can't just pull out. They need to stay and clear up the mess that was made when they went there.

I've had relatives in Iraq for so long, my yellow ribbon is seriously deteriorated.
