The race card is flying around again, do you think it's being racist to want the borders enforced, specifically the US/Mexico border?

NO - not at all.

If a man saw a woman steal and called the police is he a misogynist? Same thing.

Ask that Same EXACT question and Address it to Mexicans For some Unknown reason they believe its RACIST if Americans want Border Security YET those Bastards use Military personal to secure there southern border, They have laws prohibiting Illegals from having jobs in Mexico, They don't give Illegals Free Health care, Free schooling. And the List goes on.

If I recall, Abraham Lincoln said something concerning "***** Politics" taking over the white house. Perhaps they wanted fewer Africans in America?
Possibly this whole border issue revolves around the same general idea. The government is in fear of losing it's grip on power. I'm sure they are carefully examining the census bureau reports that show which way the demographics are heading.
I don't know if I would call this racism.

Thanks for the additional detalils, very helpful.

No Border enforcement is not racism. The US offers a legal option to come into this country.

Is busting pot heads racist? Illegal is Illegal. Plus what other border can we really monitor. I mean Canada..but the Canadians aren't exactly busting down the door to get here...they like thier country. Did anyone read the bit that was floating around about all these hoops this guy had to jump through so his company could relocate him to Mexico...man it was insane. 2 cents.

In no way is border enforcement racism, look at the Minutemen, their membership is 15% Hispanic.

Border enforcement NO not racist. However what is racist is what follows the statements. I understand the passion but why is it necessary to follow up with whites only, white power etc or derogatory names for Hispanics? It's the tone not the subject.

NO, I think that all borders should be closed until we get a comprehensive plan in place for controlled immigration from any country. Then and only then will we be able to control terrorism, drug smuggling, human trafficking, etc.

Well, I have mixed opinions on that one: I would have to say no, but only because terrorism is just awful. Look what happened recently.

But then, I would have to say yes, because I believe that everyone should be given a chance to at least PROVE themselves. And if they are given that chance and do well, then they should have the opportunity to apply for citizenship, if they screw up then they should be sent back or something.
