I'm doing research, but can only find terms like German "schwul", Italian "finocchio" and Irish "aerach". Thanks!

In Lithuanian: "Aš esu gėjus", it is common language, I do not know how they present for each other, not excluded that special words are used in everyday language; gay man - gėjus, lesbian - lesbietė. What I heard from my friends earlier, gays do not present themselves usually to talk directly, but start from behaviour, which is understood as sexual harassment. Hopefully, situation is changing with opening of special clubs.

Other people use often a word "žydras" ("blue") to say "gay man", thinking that this word is worth a smile, but usually without knowledge that it is really offensive. This word is direct translation from Russian "голубой" (transliteration: "goluboy"), which means also "blue" in Russian, but it is made from English "holly-boy" (sounds quite similarly). Some refer to word "rainbow" to mention a different sexual orientation (gay or lesbian).
I read an answer above and remebered that gay are mixed often with pedophyles/pederasts by society (common word "pedofilas", slang "pedikas", "pyderas"); maybe also due to poor education about children abuse (one would say Ombudswoman started to work more actively only during last year with multiple cases, though several special centers were created several years ago). Lithuania has had hudge problems with women trafficking (including adolescent girls), this business existed in London for long without any attention of British police.
