No. The Democratic party is lost in a sea of confusion. They have no clear agenda, and no ability to express themselves as a coherent party.

I've seen Dean talk, and he can't shed any light on what the party is attempting to do as a whole, except to attack other parties. That's not good enough. Ineffective leadership and poor candidate choices have been the failure of the party for the past decade.

If they don't want to become a historical footnote, they need to do better.

Personally, I like Howard Dean. But since you're a moderate, you already understand that a successful democratic presidential candidate will need to appeal to middle America. That's why our last two Democrat Presidents were southerners. A lot of middle America moderates just don't trust Northeast liberals.

I think we need another southern Democrat. He should appeal to the Christian vote and champion the core Democratic values like education, protection of the environment, affordable health care and increase the minimum wage and increase the pay for military personnel.

He is for a portion of the party, but is not highly thought of by by the majority of the party.
