Every pregnacy is different, even if you had similar experiences with your first two. You did the right thing by contacting your doctor. His office should have an oncall nurse or someone that can page him. If not, go ahead and go the ER and have them check you out. Better to be safe then sorry. And no matter what anyone says here.. thats the only thing that will ease your worries.

It's probably round muscle pain. I had terrible pains going from my mid-hip down to the bottom of my uterus. There are these muscles that suspend the womb in your abdomen, kinda like bungee cords. When your baby gets bigger, the uterus is heavy enough to strain themuscles but not large enough yet to rest on the bottom of your pelvis. So, it just kinda bounces there on those two muscles. Plus, your uterus is growing very rapidly and is getting stretched and strained, and it hurts a little too. Sorry you are uncomfortable. Have a cup of herbal tea, lay down and rest for a while... If your dr already ok'd it at your first checkup, take some tylenol.
In the meantime, leave your dr an urgent message. It's probably normal stuff, but you can never be too careful...

It could be normal I had cramps also and my pregnacy was normal but then on the other hand when I was 6wks along during another pregnacy and had a miscarriage while cramping and beening extra tired. I would suggest go to the ER or call the nurse help line and ask for professional advice.

Every pregnancy is different even to the same woman. I had some cramping early on but you're best bet is to try to get to your DR or go to the ER. There is nothing wrong with getting things checked out. Not only will it put your mind at ease but it could save your pregnancy or you if there is something wrong. Good Luck.

Yes, the cramping is normal. It might fell like you're going to start your period. It shouldnt double you over, or produce blood (light spotting is okay). Each pregnancy is different, so its normal that this one isnt normal for you :)

Those cramps should really only last maybe until the 3-4 month, although little crampies from time to time are okay as the uterus stretches and the ligaments expand.

I got them so bad in the begining of my pregnancy i thought i was starting my period, i even took medicine and wore pads... lol.

It's very common, especially if you are having a very low salt diet. Try to increase it a bit, but not too much otherwise you might get higher blood pressure.
Good luck.
