You've gotten confused. There are two Undertakers- their names are Undertaker ( Let's refer to him as Old school ) and Undertaker( he's the present one).
Undertaker (OS) was the dead man and he used to wrestle against Bret " Hitman " Hart and other guys. Then something happened to him, so he quit.
And after a gap of few years, Undertaker (PO) made his debut at Survivor Series. That time, he was a normal guy. Then he started taking to bikes, coolers and stuff and started a gang called " The Ministry of Darkness ". After that broke up, he continued to be the same , used to ride his bike and come. Then Kane buried him so he came as the Dead Man from Dead Valley. That's the story.

He was da deadmen 4 - 15 years man. Soo he just wanted to change his act to a badass look instead of being da Deadmen. (he got tired of being as da deadmen , thats y)

He was originally "Mean Mark Callous" way way back in the NWA/WCW. That character was alot like the edgy taker, more mean than evil.
