No. These kits are a scam. there's no way a picture tube can produce enough light to project any thing but a very faint image in a pitch black room. the image projected would be so unclear that you would have to be 30 or 40 feet away from the screen just to make it intelligible.

It will work as well as losing 90% of your eyesight. It's a sham.
