Bush has NEVER said the Saddam had anything to do with Iraq.
He did say (and Iraqi memos prove it) that Iraq and Al Q did have high-level discussions.
The reason for going into Iraq is that Saddam was in violation of UN resolutions and the cease fire agreement after Gulf War 1. Saddam made it appear that he had and was still developing WMDs, including nuclear materials.
He had plenty of time to export what he had or bury them somewhere in the desert. Remember the squadron of jets found buried in the sand? 50 or 100 barrels buried 20 feet down makes it hard to find.
Not interested in hearing an inconvenient truth? I guess you didn't see Algore's movie either.

I'm pretty sure he said it before the war began...
he said it was only about WMD and specifically said it wasn't about 9-11... in fact he's never said it's about 9-11 or that Iraq had anything to do with 9-11...
why? because he's not stupid (ok, not that stupid) and he knows that Iraq didn't have anything to do with 9-11
