Why do Palestinians want someone else's capital - Jerusalem for their capital?

It was a Jewish city to begin with.It was not a capital before the state of Israel.Nobody else cared ,exept Christians for religious purpuses.It's like asking Athens from the Greeks ,Beiging from the Chinese ,Moskow from the Russians or Rome from the Italians.

You probably need to read back over a thousand or so years of history. Palestinians don't want Jerusalem back. Muslims want Jerusalem back. There is a difference. The Jewish, Christiany .VS. Islam conflict has been going on for centuries. And recent events don't show it slowing down anytime.

Where do you get off thinking you know anything about the history of the middle east. Go back and do some research and you will learn that it has been a center of religion for Jews, Christians, and Muslims for centuries. Clearly you do not know how long Israel has been an established nation or you would realize that history clearly predates the last less than 100 years. So who stole whose capital, or rather who was given what lands that were taken from whom to establish Israel in the first place? A brain is a terrible thing to waste.

Palestinians believe they own Jerusalem, since before the time of Moses, when his people kicked out the "Philistines" as the Palestinians claim to be descended from. Jerusalem could actually be declared an international city, since Palestinians, Jews, and Christians claim rights there, as well as the Islamists since Mohaamed was to have ascended to Heaven from there.

The Jews just want to live and worship in peace, not kill anyone. They have to fight to keep from being exterminated. The Palestinians are mostly Muslams and their religion has holy sites in the city (as also the Christians and the Jews). And all of this started when Abraham screwed a hand maiden.

its a very deep rooted hatred. its not about them wanting a new capital, its about dealing the ultimate blow to the israelis by taking their political and religious center, not to mention jerusalems' being the largest and most populated city in israel
