try cheaptickets.com, if you haven't already or orbitz.com (they have student discounts here)

I travel a lot. It may take you a little time but sit down and open windows to:

travelocity.com
expedia.com
orbitz.com

Most of these sites will let you use advance search functions to indicate if your travel window is flexible and by how many days. This alone often saves you a TON of money. Also if you go to the airline's main site (based on the prices you find on these searches) you might save even more since the airline pays each of these services a fee.

Or if you don't mind the airlines choosing your connections for you - go to priceline.com. Here you put in what you can spend, when you need to travel, and to where. If they find an airline that meets that price, you get the seat but there may be some nasty layovers.

I'd also quickly check ebay. Sometimes people have tickets that couldn't be used by the date. Please be cautious here. I think the other options I've mentioned are more secure.

Finally don't rule out rail. I have found sometimes I can use AmTrack for far less than flying. It adds a little time, but you can also get much more leg room etc. !

Try this site. I know they a reputable, but how much of a discount they offer I am not sure of. You have to join, but it might be worth it if you fly back & forth a lot.
