I guess you do not like liberals :). The biggest problem in the US is everyone tries to get theirs. Some working folks dislike that wealthy people get tax cuts, even though the top 50% of earners pay 96.54% of federal income taxes (http://www.rushlimbaugh.com) and about 33% do not pay federal income taxes at all. What we really need to do is rid ourselves of taxes on wealth (property, income, earnings from stocks and bonds). At that point, big government politicans (from Republicans and Democrats), would not have someone to pander too. Also, liberals like Tom Daschele would have to find a new job after his Republican state votes him out.
What we really need to do is have a society where we look how everyone can get theres. One solution I like is the Fair Tax (http://www.fairtax.org) because it taxes consumption and is voluntary. A tax like this would bring manufacturing jobs back to America because there would no longer be taxes on wages and capital. You have to read how the Fair Tax works to understand this. Unions should love this idea because mosts of the costs that force companies to go to China are gone i.e Social Security, Medicare, other employee taxes. These taxes would be collected as part of the national sales tax. I guess the unions owe the Democrats for all the favors they got from the politicans. I will note that Republicans do the same thing. See the refusal to deal with illegal immigration.
Another part of this hate the rich is the media's false representation of how to build wealth. They believe that wealth is taken, as opposed to earned. Most liberals that work in tv, movies, newspapers, and the other media have not met someone that has build something from nothing. The only way to create a successful and lasting company is to take care of your employees, customers, community, etc.
Or you could look at how business people are portrayed in movies and tv. The Simpson's Mr. Burns? The boss in Monster's Inc? The list goes on and on. I cannot remember when the boss was the good guy. Usually, he is stealing, cheating, or lying. When someone sees this over and over again, they are programmed.
I have learned from Christianity the power of working for us. We get a lot more done when everyone benefits.

Do you know when the rich are giving you a snow job? The poor fight the wars, the poor do all the work to make a country run. As much as I don't want to admit it Marx was right: The blood of the working class is the oil of the owners machines. The only ones who are uncomfortable with class distinctions are the rich. Because they are few and the NOT RICH are many. One truth though is you can always get one half of the poor to beat up the other half if you pay them with the right incentives. Religion, money, victims, are all good incentives.

Ls scoff at the Laffer curve. But it has proved over and over again that the best way to raise government revenue is to set the marginal tax rate to a point where most people don't mind paying the tax.
This raises the taxes collected by stimulating the economy.

That's kind of a loaded and yet vauge question. The idea of lower taxes is a broad scope. Which taxes are being lowered and why? You cannot just take the call for lowering taxes at face value. You need much more information.
If some dude came up to me and asked me to vote for him because he would lower taxes, without an explaination, I wouldn't vote for him, simply because he assumed I was plain stupid.

If you really think that, why do the rich fight so hard against a flat 10% income tax for all with no write-offs.

You just want people to agree with you that Republicans are smarter than everyone else, don't you? Economics isn't all one way or another, and no one knows what things "mandate" anything.
