The question is often asked of non-Christians from Christians, that what if the non-Christian is wrong, where will their soul be after they die? The Christian belief is that in order to be saved one needs to believe that Jesus was God (more to it obvioiusly).

But my question is, what if this is wrong? The Bible teaches in 1 John 2:22 that all who speak other wise are liars if they don't proclaim Jesus is God. What if the New Testement was altered by the Devil to trick you into believing falsely about Jesus? And the parts about it being the truth and all else is lies is meant to psychologically keep you believing it and not investigate its validity - and find the Truth?

Since we are talking about your soul and what happens to it when you die, isn't it neccessary to approriately investigate the claims made that Jesus is not a savior, that he wasn't God? You wouldn't want your soul to end up in the wrong place would you? I wouldn't want that to happen to you soul. -Thanks

I don't believe God had a son because if God wanted to tell people something don't you think the message would get across to all the idiots down here? I don't think God would have any problem telling us what to do if that was God's intention.
And please quit quoting the bible since a lot of people are not even sure it is what it says it is.
Thanks for the question anyway.
Peace and Love.

Carol M, you are quoting from a book that humans wrote and what does religion and the bible say about that, that man is and always will be a sinner. So stop trying to scare people into believing your christian faith. Some of us actually do research on this subject.

Christine N, if you look word for word those two books you quote as sources have different wording. Now how do you suppose that happened, the answer is humans of course. Somehow we just can't seem to copy word for word, we just have to get our own ideas in there.

After Jesus came, many others have come claiming they were messiah. But Jesus has already for-warned there would be ´´false Messiahs´´, so any johnny come lately with any of those claims has come too, too late. Besides Jesus is a very tall order, hard to beat; what He has said and done is an impossible challenge to anybody else. We have to admit, Jesus is ´´it´´. No one else. Only the Antichrist will make similar claims. Watch out for that dude, God bless you!!!

Your premise is wrong- The Christian belief is that in order to be saved one needs to believe that Jesus was God (more to it obvioiusly).

The devil believes that Jesus was God- so there is something you ARE missing.

Sure, I could be wrong and "ha-ha" jokes on me, right. But what if YOU are wrong and Jesus is God and you never repented and put your trust in the one to makle you righteous, what happens to you and are you willing to live with that? I say these things because I care about what will happen to you! I don't want your money and I don't want you to join a church- there is a need to repent

When a person is born of God, that person is a new creation in Christ Jesus. They have the Holy Spirit of Truth that confirms what ever Jesus / God Said is the Word is of God. The Spirit of Truth is wisdom above our human teachers. It leads into all truth & is not a liar.

The Holy Spirit also assures us of God's great love for us & that He will never leave or forsake us & nothing or no one can take us from God's protection.

The faith is tested with these kind of questions, but I have already learned to trust & obey God first. What others think or say can be beneficial & rewarding, but what God Is is our great reward.

I do not necessarily believe that Jesus is or is not the Messiah or anything else. I do not belittle the Christian belief, and i do not outwardly speak out against any of the Christian Churches. All i can say is that i will find out about the supposed afterlife after such time that i die, and if my soul is damned, so be it.

Think about this:
If there is not a God as you say could possibly be true, then when we die, we just die. End of story. We rot away. However, if God is real (as I know He is) then those who are saved go to Heaven and those who don't believe go to Hell. Don't know about you but I'm not willing to take a chance that it is fake. Look around you! The proof is everywhere that GOD IS REAL! If there were no God there would be no Devil!

Give me a break...What if, so what...What if elephants flew, maybe they would find a target to drop on as they were passing over....If you don't go against the laws of GOD and you are a decent person all of your life, even if what you say is true (it's not) than where else would you go. To hell with Satan as you believed in GOD? I don't think so.. If that was the case, then all are going to hell whether there's belief or not......Watch out dodging the elephants!!!!!!

I will tell you that Jesus is the only way, the truth, the life and no one comes to the Father but through Jesus.

The Bible has not been altered, for it is the Word, and the Word is God. Keep on questioning your faith, for in the end, you will find the answer, and then it will be up to you...
