WOW! So you mean to tell me that it doesn't matter how the other states vote... if you win Ohio and Florida you get to be President?

Its 2006, are you still whining about the 2000 election? Sheesh! Get over it already.

Do you realize that if Gore had... WON HIS OWN STATE... he would have won the election? Tennessee has 11 electoral votes, if gore had won Tennessee the electoral results would have been 277 - 260 in favor of Gore instead of 271 - 266 in favor of Bush. Gee, I think it says a lot about a candidate if HE CAN'T WIN HIS OWN STATE!

The big argument in Florida was that voters (read Democrats) couldn't understand the butterfly ballot. I don't remember how many news reporters and other journalists that took the butterfly ballot and gave it to their kids and their kids had no problem correctly indicating a vote for Gore when asked to. I guess the Democrats in Palm Beach County (since the butterfly butterfly ballot was designed by a democrat) didn't realize that their fellow democrats were too stupid to understand how to use a ballot that a child could properly use... or it was just the best whine they could come up with.
