I agree with you 100%, The troops are not the poloticians! These people who trash them need to remember that the soldiers are the reason they are allowed to sit on the computer and complain.

What exactly do you mean? How are we supposed to support them, write them letters? Put on a touring concert show? Personally I don't agree that we should be there at all, so I wont support them. I want them out and if I can support them to do that I think I will have done them a favour.
If I thought the freedom of this country was at stake - like it was in the Second World War I would support them by joining them, but in this case and many others that is impossible for me.
The whole support our lads thing is designed to make us all shrug our shoulders and say 'well they are there now so lets just make the best of it' I dont see why we shouldn't refuse to support them and yet still be 'loyal'. After all the Army is there to do the job of defending us - if that is what they are doing fine, if not then the Government have a lot to answer for.

I'm not understanding.. Are you another retard that says I can't support the troops without supporting the war? Or are you talking about the far right and far left wackos, that is beyond political affiliation.. They are too far gone...
I think both parties do support the troops. The dems just have different views of the war in general..
Yes, usually republicans say that same thing because they accuse the dems of not being able to do one without the other.. Just askin if that's what you really meant..
And yes I support myself...

Sorry, I can't 'support' them. The whole conflict is against my beliefs. I would support them withdrawing! Hmm... even though that might cause the country to break down into complete civil war... not that that would be drastically different from the state of it now. There should never have been 'Coalition' forces there in the first place, can't support the politicians or the troops.

I totally agree with you. Soldiers are only doing the Job that they get paid to do.(In sometimes very difficult and dangerous circumstances) So yes the acctual Troops should get the full support of the public. After all if it wasnt for service personell who would we have protecting us?

People said that during Vietnam as well.
Would you support the men who re-enacted My Lai and gunned down civilians?
The simple fact is that you wouldn't.
I'm a Brit, and my support for the troops is dependent on one thing - and thats them living up to their part of the bargain, which is not bringing the service into disrepute and all the rest.
I imagine your support for the troops is conditional in that sense like mine.

Just ask your self a question:
Shall Iraqi people support their troops if they were part of invading force ashore USA during year 2xxx or 3xxx, shall they support them to:
- rape US girls to take revenge of the raped Iraqi girls?
- loot houses in USA to compenstae those who were robbed from their cash by US troops in Iraq.
- kill on the basis of eye for an eye to equalize the figures
the wish list list will be long and long for damages hoped inside the hearts of Iraqis.
Is US in short of enemies, foes, and dirty jobs just to add some?

Being one who was touched by the Vietnam war I am very glad that 99% of the country has learned from the mistakes of my generation. No I did not spit on the troops that came home but my sister in law spit on my husband. That was horrible!

Y E S support them to rape more teenagers and burn them.
support them to kill infants and toddlers.
support them to destroy others countries.
support them to keep the pipelines flowing with oil to the White House.
support them to spreed terror among poor families.
SUPPORT THEM to stop a civilian car and tell the driver to go to an office at the checkpoint ... during that... an American soldier places a blast in the car ... and then they order the driver to go to an Iraqi police station to get his papers (without the driver knowing that a blast was implanted in his car) ... and there .... they say: A SUICIDE BOMBER is so snd so

You shouldn't harrass them as they do a job. Give them support as human beings.
If you don't agree with the war take it out on the politicians, they started it.
