Because we are sensitive and are very emotional so little things bother us more. An example you can relate to: How a small paper cut will hurt more that a big gash you don't even realize is there.
Then again, if it really is something stupid, then the woman is...well, stupid or just over sensitive/ insecure.

Women are created to be more sensitive to their surroundings. Unlike men, they are gifted in the area of paying attention to details. Men are created to moderate this behaviour when it gets out of hand. =)
