You know, my Child, the worst thing any "loving" Christian would do is condemn another soul to an eternal torment. You're not going there. You and I and the rest of the vast population of the universe are simply going Home to what ever the version of Home is we have. You're good and kind and damned? I think not. Come on, we'll go have a cup of tea and cake. Let them have Hell. We'll have cookies.

Well depending on if this person is living or now dead. If the person is living, this person will get one last opportunity to accept God and Jesus. The Bible clearly states the only way to the Father is through way of His Son. This period I speak of is a time which is found in Revelation. The Tribulation Period; seven years; 3 1/2 years will be peaceful, but the last 3 1/2 years the world will be in pure chaos. This period comes when the man that claims to have the "perfect peace plan" with Israel. He is known as the Antichrist! At one point during the Tribulation Period, every human living will be asked to take a "mark" or "die". If you choose the "mark" you have rejected God and Jesus for the final time. You will be in the pit of hell with Satan for all eternity. Your choice!! God will NOT force Himself upon you to make you accept Him and His Son. You can be the "perfect being" meaning doing good things, but work alone will NOT get one in the kingdom of heaven. Work without Faith is dead!
Your friend is 100% correct. The only way in the gates of heaven is through Jesus Christ the Son of God. He is known as the Tree of Life!
God's Holy Spirit is among us today. Even if you are in the remote jungles of the Amazonian Rain Forest or in New York City and have not heard of Jesus Christ.. the Holy Spirit will come to you... if you reject the Holy Spirit, then you have rejected God and Jesus.
Hope this helps answer your question.

Well, first of all,it IS a loaded gun question, and I am sure there will be lots of answers. Most Christian's believe this is true. They also believe that those who never had a chance to hear the Gospel will be innocent, and go to heaven.
There are millions of people who do not accept Christianity. Does this mean they are all forever lost and going to a place called Hell?Personaly, I don't think so. After searching and looking at, and also attending many religious services in 25 years, I am convinced of a few things:
1.God, really is all powerful and mercyful
2.People who think their way is THE only way, are bigots.
3.God is love, pure love and in that love, we are all connected to him.
4.Places and contries vary, God wanted this, and so in His way, he led people to Him, through various religious and spiritual thought. If he did not create it this way, it would not be this way.
5.Just because ( and this goes for all religious text) , you read it in a book, does not necscically make it THE ONLY Truth.
Now, I am a believer in a Creator, "God", I cannot look at this world, and think it all "just happened". That's me. Some don't believe at all, they want proof. I see proof everyday. Some can't, or won't.
The person of Jesus is and always will be a much debated subject. Was he the "son" of God? Some say yes, others, no way, and still others, accept him as a Prophet, who was created by the creator, to lead us to the path of a righteous life. (I agree with is with all my heart).
So is Jesus my savior, in effect, yes he is. But do I make him into the Creator of all things? No. Even in the Bible, it says he sits at the right hand of God. And Jesus Himself always pointed people TO the Father,( or creator), so there are great and awsesome lessons to be learned in Jesus.
I think there are differents levels of heaven, according to what we knew on earth and understood, and the rest will be told to us, when we get there.
I also think that if there is to be a Judgement day, that there will be many, those alive, and those long dead, who will be then given time, to accept those things that they either were mislead into, and/or did not accept. I do not believe in a God who would condenm so many to hell, based on ignorance.
I believe only the WORST of men will be there.
I also, have a hard time with the concept of an ETERNAL HELL.
But that's just my thoughts.
In the end, I think it is better to err on the side of caution, think of it this way, if there is a God, and you have faith in Him, and it turns out there is no God, then what have you lost?
But if you hated God, or did not believe, or have any faith, and you find there IS a God, then, friends, you might be very, very,
upset, to say the least. ( and then you'll be hoping you won't be buring!)I mean, what IF there is an eternal hell?
No, Thanks, not me.
Be a Spiritual seeker, really.. I sure do not have all the answers, and I feel badly at time, for those who are convinced they do.
We simply don't know for sure.
I choose to believe, and to write all my beliefs, and thoughts, would be impossible here.
My father always said" keep your heart and mind open, even when it seems the unfashionable and wrong way to be."
He was a very wise man.
In the end, it will be all sorted out for us. I bet we will all be told were we were wrong, and where we were right.
Search your heart, pray, even if you think you don't know what to say. I believe God lives in everyone of us. He's always there, but we aren't. It's like a parent, who lets his child grow, and learn, even if the child does not always see things as the father, the father is always there, waiting. He will correct us, tell us where we went wrong, and wants us to be happy, and to trust him.
I don't always understand everything, but I do place my trust in Him, no matter what I think I know, I know one day, he will correct me, and forgive me, for those things I did not know, or understand, just as a parent would.
Take care, and keep your mind and heart always open.
( the darn spell checker is not working, as a fellow human being, hahaa, please forgive my fast typing and misspellings! ;-)

The Scriptures say that "all of your good works are as filthy rags to God". He doesn't need your good works, He can get them done any way he wants them done. He sent His Son, to die a horrific death to pay for your sins. Jesus not only died a physical death on the cross, He also took on the sins of the whole world spiritually on the cross. It wasn't just a death. Many things happened there, it would be good for you to look into this and do some homework.
Your friend is right, it doesn't matter how "good" you are, and it doesn't matter what you think of it either. Fact: We have a Holy God. He sent His Son to die for just you. You have a choice to make. Check into it, it's pretty cool. He never leaves you, He gives you wisdom. You think you're a good person, wait till you come before a Holy God, then you see how good you really are not in comparison. In prayer you will be humbled beyond anything you've ever imagined in His presence.
Hope this has helped some...........

Why do you think it breaks Christians hearts when they cant convince someone to believe? And believe me until you accept Jesus as your personal savior you wont understand it all. As far as people living remotely God wont end this world until everyone has been given a chance to hear the gospel message. With today's satellite feeds it is coming closer and closer to the generation that will be able to reach everyone in the world. Read your bible that is where the answers are.

Christ was perhaps a real person but historically he is not the son of god....and is only god personified in humans concepts
Such as we must look like god and god look like us for our "ego"
This relates to to Socrates theory of forms....
God is not a human form if god exists he exists the small human boundaries we give him and the fact that one carbon life form could offend his intelligence is man made doctrine
God Is God but he is not " Jimmy Jesus " to most people
or other religions except Christians
There are many religions larger and have been around a lot longer and they are good people , they love their children, their parents, their families.
Do you think they are not going into the spiritual world because they have a different opinion than yours
Give me a break

I do believe that God Himself reserves judgement until the end just in case. I cannot say whether a person will go to Hell or find Salvation or not...that's not my job. All I know is that there are many people who call themselves religious and yet don't really follow Jesus' or their own religion's teachings. Will they go to Heaven just for believing there's a Jesus? Again, I don't know. Only God and Jesus know the answer to that...

All of the answers are in the Bible. Don't worry about interpretations--if you read it with an open, seeking heart, and pray for guidance, you will find the answers as God reveals them to you. Many are frightened and feel that belief that Christ is the son of God is exclusionary, when it actually includes all of us and opens up the chance to live eternally in His presence. What a gift! We all want to go to heaven. We all can. God doesn't send those who have not had the opportunity to hear his Word to hell, including children, those who never reach the age of reason, the insane and very sick who cannot understand His message, those who haven't heard it. But, you cannot get to heaven through works, because ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God. It is a misperception to believe that Christians go to heaven through any action of their own. It is all through God's grace and love for each of us. He loves those who believe, and those who don't. We access Him through our faith; He accepts us unconditionally through a grace we depend on but cannot yet understand. Read what Christ said to the criminal who was so remorseful on the cross next to him--that grace will humble you and give you chills, because you will see how He loves us, loves us all. He only wishes to open the door for you. God bless you.

A moral deity would not condemn anyone to eternal torment. There are three purposes for punishment: revenge, restitution, or to prevent recidivism.
The first is unworthy of a deity of love.
The second is not possible; how does one provide 'restitution' for failing to believe in a particular deity, especially since the "evidence" is insufficient and contradictory?
The third is pointless: someone who's dead and finds her/himself before YHWH will surely not continue to disbelieve. And to say that it serves as an example is equally fatuous, since there's no actual evidence of Hell for those who are still alive.
So the question is really: "If there is a God, is that God moral or not?" If the God is moral, then no one goes to Hell. If the God is not moral, then all bets are off, and S/He is going to do whatever S/He wants. We have no way to know, and must simply live our lives according to our best principles.

I do not know about hell.... but that person would NOT get into Heaven...
there is only one way to get into Heaven... and that is through Jesus Christ.
To let you know why I am uncertain about Hell... I believe that there are various degrees of glory in Heaven... You may have already attained one degree by being born upon the earth (I'm not really sure about that)...
why?
all who followed Satan in the battle in Heaven against God were cast out of Heaven BEFORE they could come to earth and get a physical body...
You at least have a physical body, so you did not follow Satan into battle in Heaven.... but maybe you have sided with him here on earth.
