No, because there has never been a "crucial" time to join atheism. What's so crucial, anyway?

Of course there's not going to be any scientific proof. Whats your proof that you're alive, you could be dreaming this could be virtual reality 2000+years on , could you prove it?You believe what you want. You conform to society and the norm after all the norm is what you are born into. Animals with less brain cells than you & I don't have to think like we, they just act on instincts. You believe what you feel is more my philosophy.
Has there ever been a more crucial time.?.. darkness and fear spreads fear attracts negativity. I prefer the light.

The question should be: 'Is it time now for aetheists and members of Christendom to re-think of their position?'

Consider these facts:
1. The signs mentioned Matthew chapter 24 and 2Tim 3:15 are being fulfilled right in our days.

2. Mankind's lot is getting worse everyday proving the truthfulness of Jeremiah 10:23; and Psalm 146:3,4?

So, should you surrender now. Get out of your hard headedness. Study God's Word, and seek Him while there is time. Perhaps, you can get away safe. (Zephaniah 2:3)

I didn't agree with you.

But after reading the other answers, I've changed my mind.

Anyway, I belong to an atheist church, North Texas Church of Freethought, in Dallas.

We have the fellowship of a church, without the silly spiritualism.

Keep posting, you know the Asimov quote, if you can bring one person to reason....

Above me, Terry S. says there are no atheists.

That's great, these silly people can stop trying to save us.

decide its crucial if you must ... but atheists offer no hope and no solutions .... just views to rid the world of certain ways of thinking or groups of people as a solution ... what comes after the genocide? peace? love? hope? utopia?

There is no such thing as a "crucial time in history."

That sounds as bad as those come-ons to repent before it's too late.
