There will eventually be a short cease-fire like all the others before. As soon as things settle down the Muslims will start pecking at Israel again. Things will get worse again, on and off until there is a larger war involving other countries. Then there will be a real good peace for about 3 1/2 years-then all hell breaks loose--real bad, extremely terrible for about 3 1/2 years. Then it will be over.

I think you are a Jew and I am sorry I have to tell you that your question seems loaded and dishonest.
The war in Lebanon is not between radical Islam and the West. It is about Israel using the pretext of attacking Hezbollah, which would be legitimate, in order to inflict completely disproportional death and destruction to a small defenseless country. Of the kind not seen since WWII and probably before.
Israel is now rapidly losing the world sympathy it gained from Nazi atrocities during WWII. It will no longer have my instinctive support.

Iran will be wiped off the face of the earth unless the people of Iran take charge and change their leadership really soon. The US has the power to destroy the earth ten times over and will start with Iran unless things change soon. Other nations will know very soon ... you don't tug on superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, you don't pull the mask off the old lone ranger, and you don't mess around with GW !!!!

We'll eventually pull out of there and after a few years, maybe a few hundred, another few extremists will take over and ruin it all again, not that we fixed much. We can't force anything on anyone no matter what we think is right.
