not marry a non muslim man?

Based on my own experience, One of my friends had a dad who was muslim and his mom was not. She would cook pork behind his back and not pray or practice Islam. She did not follow the modesty rules, she wore shorts and tanks. So , i believe that a mans religious rights should be protected only by marry a muslim woman.

they have their own set of moral rules. You can't force them to adopt yours.

After all, they might have a better set of rules.
I don't think so, but it could turn out that they do: who am i to know what's best for other people? I don't even know what's best for mysef, most of the time!

Well, what I mean is that their set of moral rules tell them the man is the boss and has the right to do whatever he pleases. Since it's their rules, they therefore have the moral right to do it. And the question of whether or not they "should" change half their moral code is completely outrageous. If their moral code turns out to be rubbish, it will disapear on its own. For example, if all the muslim women reject that moral code, then it will die in a few decades. muslims are the only ones allowed to chose to change their moral code or not.

For example, in our system, you have the right to vote randomly if you wish. You would not express your opinion since you would vote randomly, but you would still be allowed to. Do you think that's right? We have rules, they have theirs. Let them be, they'll change them when they decide to.

Plus, muslim women are allowed (from a religous point of view. I leave the legal details to someone else: if the law doesn't suit you in a specific state, go in another country.) to marry any man they want. From what I understand, the only problem is that the woman is supposed to take the religion of her husband. So if she wants to marry a catholic or an atheist, she'll have to quit her religion (something she will probably try to prevent). But from my point of view, if she marries an agnostic, she won't have so much problems, since the religion of her husband would be "unknown", so it may be that he believed in the same god even if the he didn't know, himself.

I am married to a Muslim man. The reasoning behind this is that the man is the head of the household and has major spiritual power in the home given by God whether Christian or Muslim. The woman is more likely to become the religion of her husband than the husband is likely to become the religion of the wife. This is done in order to spread the Muslim religion.

Muslim men marry non-Muslim women in order to gain converts to Islam. Any non-Muslim woman who marries a Muslim man must be mad, or have a pitifully suppressed personality and should get her head examined.

Even the best Muslim man cannot escape his upbringing and the pressures from his family and society. To a Muslim, a wife is property, like his cow or camel, to do as he pleases. Believe me, I have lived amongst them, I know.

I don't believe love and marriage should be restricted by the legalisms of religion....BUT, that being said, if there are vast differences in philosophies in 2 people that can and probably will throw another "monkey wrench" into what already exists as the strains of normal relationships, so I would say if they are going to proceed....proceed with caution!

Why not withdraw this question and rewrite it then submit it.
If I've interpreted your question correctly:
The problem isn't the rights of the man to marry outside of his religion if he want to, but the restriction on the woman not to be able to do so.

They can marry whom ever they want and the women are subjugated. Women around the world have been subjugated by men. Surprisingly though mainly due to misinformation in this country, the countries in Africa are more respectful of their women then Europe , the Americas and Asia.
