There are several versions of the bible, Like hamburgers, you got fuddruckers $6.00 hamburger and Jack in the box 99 cent hamburger. When you go to the book store and ask for a Bible, they say which version.
If all the Bibles say the same thing, then there would be no choice, just the color of the cover. So each Bible writer has his own version. You could write a Bible and call it the no believers version.
The thing a serious believer should ask for is .
is it a Catholic version. Or is it King James version.. That sort of thing. sorry you have an uninformed question..

Your looking for answers that will not decide your fate. If you get caught up in the Bible and can not have a pure understanding where you are today and where it was centuries ago...your gonna get lost and end up with question you or neither anyone else who is a scholar in Religion to identify the lost Scriptures in a Bible much less the scriptures already there and written.
Personally myself, I believe in the Almighty God and the Bible, but I do not question why is this or why is that...when it pertains to confusion of mis-interpretation. It is clearly evident that not all what is written can be justified, but some has been. You can get caught up and confused when looking for purity. We are not pure and we are born in Sin and I have sinned and sinned and sinned again without consciousness. I have no remorse, but I forget, pray and move on. Such is life and I am happy for what I do and try to be as nice as I can and that is all she wrote:

A lot said but no sense made. You believe as you will and I will believe as I will. I don't need for someone to point out things that they don't understand. Hate you went to all of this trouble to end up with nothing. If you do not turn to Jesus you will end up with nothing again. Jesus is the way and the truth and the life and only through Him can we hope to get to heaven.
By the way be careful how you swear on something you don't understand. Only a stupid person does that.
Turn away from fantasy of Quran and turn to Jesus while you still have the chance.

Jesus did walk on earth. He did walk on water. He was the son of MANKIND. He was not the son of God. The reason the bible is somewhat misleading sometimes is: it was delivered from many men who all wanted power. The more interesting the tale of Jesus the more respected these people were. So somethings in the Bible are false because of men and the power they try to acheive. May Allah SWT bless everybody.
Salam Allykum
PS Muslims, quit fighting to change the minds of others. Only Allah SWT will those who Allah SWT wants guided. It says that people of almost all religion will make it into heaven. It's right at the begining of The Noble Quran. So save your breath. The ones that are true believers may only burn for hours. I may only burn for hours. Inshallah I will be spared.

wow you got a lot of **** there. where should i start. first off the bible is not just one book as i see you know from the way you cited everything, It was the disciples writing each their own version of the story of christ, there are going to be some changes of perspective. that is why the bible is so well recieved, it gives multiple perspectives and odds are one of them will appeal to you. Second, the bible is full of allegory and symbolism meant to portray certain morals and messages. third, the bible was translated, at one point, into english, different word usage changes the way certain words get translated, and being written by several different people will cause several different occurences when translated, which means different words

For the umpteenth time, the Bible is a compilation of 66 books--a sort of religious WIKIPEDIA. It is the only known book that has data from the Stella Mythos, the Lunar Mythos, and the Solar Mythos--all different time periods. Fortunately for us, events that Moses recorded are recorded in generational years. Other writers recorded events based on the time periods in which they lived. Daniel recorded events according to the Babylonian Calendar: so there is a four year time difference between events recorded by those in Israel--then a co-regent of Babylon and the same events written about by those who were in Jerusalem. The Torah texts were in Aramaic. Some parchments were in Hebrew. The newer texts, in Greek were recorded during rome's greatest unslaught by different writers years after the events occurred. Rome confiscated and burned thousands of books. God arranged for original texts to be concealed in caves in Masada. Don't you think the public would like to see all the texts oficially translated by the department of Antiquities of the country in which they were founded?
After Rome went from being totally pagan and anti-Christian, to partially pagan and desirous of being Christian, they attempted to have texts translated. Did they get all translations correct? Now books are being published to show miss-translations, seed of pagan-controlled empires are trying to conceal such. Since it is an open secret that Everything of religious significance is entombed in the Torah in numeric sequence coding and that every major event about Abraham's seed is encoded in the Hebrew original texts of the Torah-- anyone seeking truth can check what these new researcers like Michael Drosdin and Basil Hill are doing and have done; match prophecy with history. We of the Brotherhood for Reconciliation of abraham's seed are up against powerful networks with their own agenda--Hebrew zealots, Christian zealots and Muslim zealots--each group clinging to perceived doctrines that according to prophecies would bring discord. What do you want us to use as evidence--the same books that were burned or the preserved and wisely concealed codes. Instead of hoping that these truths are not self-evident, if you are really interested in truth, you should realize that God in His wisdom has planted his servants even among us in this Yahoo bog to bring understanding to the three flocks--not in hostility, but in an atmosphere of sharing and mutual respect. That is why God says In Romans 3: 23--All have erred and come short of His Glory. Noticfe: All, not some.
Prophet Boaz.
By the way, God is specific: His foundation was and still is in Zion, not Rome, not Mecca, not America, not Iraq or Iran. The Dead Sea Scrolls give specific explanations about that statement. I wonder how many nations would like those data permanently concealed?

Life is full of contradictions, my friend. To the extent that you can handle and live with contradictions is a measure of your sanity, usually. But when you are killing children, lots of children, then you are not sane.
The three desert religions Jewish, Christian and Islamic are so full of contradictions that it takes a snake like thinking to comprehend. The problems are not words, phases or books in the Bible or Koran, the problems are behavior of all three peoples who practice these religions. You are killing each other and calling it holy.
The very idea that the three so called desert religions are killing each other in mass now a days is just an invitation to dismiss all three groups as foolish children with big guns, empty heads and little tiny hearts. Your religions stink!
I am not the only one in the world that has had it with these three so called religions. We are not going to drop bombs on you, we are turning our backs on you, and taking the other road, bye bye.

I thought the Koran SAID that the Bible is true. But then, the Koran does tend to contradict itself. For example:
4:136 "O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Apostle, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Apostle and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who denieth Allah, His angels, His Books, His Apostles, and the Day of Judgment, hath gone far, far astray."
KEY REFERENCE!!! "Believe the Scripture which He sent to those before." THAT means the Bible! Yet the Bible and the Quran contradict each other on key points. (Jesus as God-Man, Salvation by the Cross) Therefore, how can they have the same Author? And if they don't have the same Author, which is which? Qu'ran says it agrees, but it doesn't. Therefore it MUST be authored by a LIAR. Scripture identifies the liar as Shaitan. Therefore, the Qu'ran is authored by Satan. Better watch out who you follow!

Good Grief! You have certainly done your research into the Bible. While you've discovered many contradictory verses you've missed the main point of Christianity, which is "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself. This is the singular message of Christ and this is the point of Christianity. You are free to believe what you like about the veracity of the Bible.
