I think our St. Paul must therefore be an evolutionist, for he is saying not to talk about Jewish fables.

Hmmm, Interesting Jim. However, allow me to make this comment. Condsider that Paul, previously named Saul, supposedly came from the Isle of Tarsus. NOw apart from the NT epistles, there is no evidence whatsoever that such a person ever existed. But that may be only part of the problem. The other part of the problem is that there is also no evidence by any contemporary historians of that era that any of the characters of the New Testament existed as real persons. Not one of the over 300 historians that lived during that time period make any comment about this so wonderful savior god man, Jesus, or of any of his disciples, nor about any person named Saul/Paul.
WHat does seem more applicable is that whoever was the author of the Pauline epistles, and likewise, the unknown author of the Book of Acts and the gospel of Luke, was very familiar with the Mithric cult which originated on the Isle of Tarsus some three hundred years prior to the supposed birth of Iuesus. WHat really makes this parallel religion to Christianity so interesting is that both Mithrism and CHristianity share many similiar doctrines. Mithriism originated on Tarsus...as Saul/Paul also claims to be his home. Mithrism has a super man god figure as its leader in Attis,,,and this is likewise, accompanied by Virgin birth narrative, a twelve disciple following , miracles , a Eucharist dinner in which blood drinking and eating the human body are commands for obtaining eternal life, and death resurrection scenario. IN other words, whoever wrote the Pauline epistles, which have no really Known person, knew a great deal about Mithric religion and plagiarised that pagan religion for virtually all the doctrines which are well recognized at CHristian now. At best, that makes Christianity a copycat religion. At worst, it makes Christianity a fraudulent scam, and as a pagan copycat, is condemned by Judaism teachings, the Torah. As far as the recomendation by Saul/Paul to avoid Jewish fables, it merely stands to reason, that whoever was writing the Pauline Epistles was anti Semitic,,a person that had a personal grudge against the Jews. you are evidently having a hard time keeping things in context, not only with the rest of the Bible, but think about what times Paul was living in, what was going on at the time.
The religious leaders of the time took God's commandments and added their own brand of law in order to keep from breaking the commandments. For example, God said remember the sabbath and keep it Holy, He gave general guidelines regarding how to keep the Sabbath but God was more interested in how people kept in in their hearts- the rabbinical Jews of the day were interested in how many miles a person walked in a day, what activities they did and did not perform on the Sabbath day. Also, the rabbinical Jews of that day were teaching people that their favor with God, their righteousness was based on what they did, how exactly they were keeping the laws. Paul was warning against this, calling these things fables- anything that taught opposite of salvation by the grace of God through the life death and resurrection of Yeshua (Jesus) was a fable. Paul was teaching walking the balance between keeping God's perfect instruction without all of the rabbinical additives because youe are saved and being confident in your salvation because you have received the sacrifice Yeshua made on our behalf. If you would read all of Paul's other teachings, in context, and from the understanding that he is writing from a Hebrew point of view and in context of Hebrew culture, tradition and understanding , you might better understand what it is he was saying here and be less likely to spread such blasphemy.

godly wisdom here, declare the final outcome of the two "ways". The paths of "sinners" (unbelievers) and the "way of the righteous. he speaks progressively of assoociation with the ungodly and participation in they're ungodly ways.
