I don't know why the people that don't have the answers bother answering.
One of the replies to your question was by Michael who stated "they don't that's why there are so many religions out there" You know if your incapable of intelligent dialogue sometimes its better to keep your mouth shut and have people think you may be an idiot than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt.
But seriously in Psalm 45, verses 6 and 7 is God addressing His Son, in it He says (God the Father speaking) " Your throne, O God is forever and ever...." "You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has annointed you...."
Also in Psalm 110;1 "The Lord said to my Lord, sit at my right hand Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."
It would be absurd to believe that God the Father would be addressing himself in the above discourse.
Also if you look up all the prophesies pertaining to the birth of the messiah in the old testament, (there are over a hundred) you will find that Jesus did not meet just a few of them but every last one of them were fulfilled perfectly by Jesus. The mathematical odds of this happening by chance are such that it could not have been unless it were true about who Jesus was.

God Bless you in your studies.

There have been described in the Old Testament 300 prophecies of the first coming of the Messiah and 500 of the second coming, all of then made hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus and fulfilled to the letter in Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

George Heron, a French mathematician, calculated that the odds of one man fulfilling only 40 of those prophecies are 1 in 10 to the power of 157. That is a 1 followed by 157 zeros. Compare it to this; your odds on winning the state lottery are 14 followed by 6 zeros.

Another mathematician, Dr. Peter S. Ruckman, claims the odds of being fulfilled only 60 of them by the only person who claimed to be the Son of God, and who died on a "tree" on Calvary, and who rose the 3rd day are astronomical!... not just one in one trillion, but one out of ten to the 895th power. That is a one over a one followed by 895 zeros.

The original Bible (Old Testament) will not prove Jesus is the Messiah - if it did, the Hebrew people would not be using it - as they do not consider Him the Messiah.

No one can actually prove that Jesus is the Messiah - that has to come from faith - be in your heart and soul.

The best work regarding the Messianic Prophecies was done by Alfred Edersheim, a 19th century Bible scholar. He was Jewish, and researched the various prophecies, and discovered that the Jewish Messiah was in fact Jesus of Nazareth.

He wrote "The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah, and in it, he listed 456 separate Messianic Prophecies that Jesus alone fulfilled.

Here is a list of several websites where you can find these:

cwell there is proof of what the Messiah will do, but there is no place in the Torah that Jesus Christ is the Messiah

Also only the first 5 books is the "Hebrew Bible" the Torah, the Old Testament is a Christian Creation (Meaning they chose what books were in it.

Dear Gen,

Thank you for the great question. Of course the Old Testament was composed before the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, but if you compare the Old Testament Prophecies to the New Testament fulfillment, it becomes quite evident to even the modestly open minded. I am siting a link in my sources for your review. I hope you find it helpful.

Embrace the Grace,

You have to remember they didn't believe that He was the Messiah so they aren't going to write in books that He was the Messiah. That is why the Middle East is such a mess because they continued their beliefs the way they lived in biblical times so everyone is a mess over there. Jesus is the Messiah and all will bow and cry and confess that He is when they see Him coming in in the clouds with great Glory

There is no proof in the O.T., but there are prophecies about the Messiah.

The N.T. writers drew parallels between these prophecies and Jesus, to prove he was the Messiah. Some people think that these writers stretched the truth to reach this conclusion.

Jews for Jesus can help you. The old testament had the prophesies and the new testament told where they were fulfilled by Jesus. If you could get a concordance, it will help you study the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
