No, not in my experience. I've been getting my hair braided with synthetic extensions every summer for at least four years, and I haven't had any problems. As a matter of fact, getting braids has helped my hair grow tremendously. For the most part, any hair is fine - the key is to get as close a match to your natural hair color and texture as you can if you want it to look natural.

However, any braids, whether the hair is natural or not, will damage your hair if the braids are too tight. After your hair is braided, your head should feel comfortable - it shouldn't be sore and it shouldn't feel like the braids are playing tug-of-war with your scalp. If it hurts while your stylist is braiding your hair, don't be afraid to let them know. Also, be careful when you take your braids down. When you're taking them down, it's easy to get tangles, so if you do, don't snatch at the tangles or try to force them apart or you'll damage or break your hair. Sometimes it helps to comb the end of the braid you're working on to prevent it from tangling. Just remember to take your time and gently untangle the knots and you'll be fine. Your hair will thank you for it.

I have had braids with coloured extensions on and off now for twelve years. No, it doesn't need to be glued, and it doesn't break your hair. The only time I've ever known people to get worried is when they take out the extensions and all their own dead hair comes out too. This is only natural and it thickens up again given time.

I have heard that hair extensions cause this, so I guess braids would do the same thing.

yes if the person who does the braid does them too tight or your hair is tangled while putting the braid up.Also you want to be careful of how you take them down.your hair will be tangled and break. After you take them down you might want to deep condition your hair and get a trim.

Everything that is not natural is suspicious. Fake hair must be glued. I prefer natural hair

ok, braiding isn't so undesirable searching on the shape hair you've. which ability some skinny hair have a tendency to 'conflict through' (ruin!) therefore of braiding even as thciker hair esp those that are chemically dealt with appeared refresh after braiding. So breakage is one difficulty you are able to evaluate esp if the hair isn't dealt with properly even as the braids are in. So do you need to get - properly if yuo have dry brittle hair its perfect in case you're taking care of it first. otherwise go precise ahead some braid rock! and they have an excellent style of guy-made and human hair - so ask your stylist whats best for you.
