I think that you should try to pay for things once in a while to see what she does and to make your mom feel better.

Let your friend's mom pay. It makes her feel good about something, like she is a part of her daughter's life. She enjoys it, so what does it hurt? Your Mom probably feels a little threatened by the extra attention you get from your friend's Mom. Let it go.

Not if she insists. You wouldn't want to sit there at the table and fight with her about who is paying..now that would be rude. but you might try offering to buy dinner or a movie or what ever you are planing to do that night, before you go out that way you will be prepared and she cant fight with you about it..that is if you really want to pay. i hope this answered your question!

It's fine as long as she wants to and doesn't mind paying. Just be appreciative and make sure she knows you appreciate it. Also, give her hand doing things around the house or lifting heavy objects. ONe nice gesture for another.

my best friend's mom is the same!! when we go to the movies, she pays for the tickets and i buy all the snacks. try to make a compromise with your friend's mom.

i dont thinks theres a problem in there, as long as it okay with your mom's friend, then its fine.... but if ur really shy about it, then pay it by the next time.

If it makes her happy sometimes, then she's being nice. but your mom should really insist on not having her pay always, coz it'll make her look small & cheap infront of her kids.

You have to step up to your friends mom and say "mrs. (insert friends moms name here) i brought my own money i can pay for myself. She'll preolly say "o dont worrty i got it" you have to be aggressive about it and say you can pay for your self..but it all changes if you dont have enough money...I HOPE I HELPED!!!

No it's not right its what you call taking advantage of her...She may offer but you don't have to accept everytime..and besides think how it makes your mother feel...Think about her feelings
