Well there are walks for cancer and diabetes. They raise huge amounts of money for research..... I don't know how you could have possibly missed them honestly.
I don't consider homosexuality sinful -- nor do I consider the worship of other gods that I choose not to worship (I'm Episcopalian, so Christian) to be sinful -- just different. That's what America being a pluralistic nation is all about.
Your post is really fairly disjointed, but I believe that to be because you are an ESL speaker. Welcome.
What it really comes down to is that you think homosexuality is a choice and is wrong, so you lump it with other things that are in fact choices and are wrong.
The fact is that homosexuality is NOT a choice. The choice is whether to be happy and with someone or not. The actual preference you have no choice over at all. Many of us don't think that it is wrong either, and neither do many, many straight people -- and the parades showcase all of the person, not just their sexuality.
Try imagining 90% of the world being gay, and you and your husband being some of the 10% that were straight. Then I think a straight pride parade would be appropriate. And I don' t think that being heterosexual would be a choice, or wrong -- anymore than homosexuality is in the real world.
Kind regards,
Reynolds Jones

Here, in America, you can purchase a permit and have any parade you want!
So, if you feel left out, then you need to go do up a parade for whatever you want!
I think there may be a few more parades out there than you think.
I may not agree with the premise of every parade, but I do agree that everyone should be allowed to march for whatever they feel strongly about, and I'm not willing to knock a gay pride parade because I don't want anybody to knock my Autism walks.
Let me know if you do a parade, I'd be interested in the pictures!

There are marches for other thing to help people, like the march of dimes, that helps babies and the breast cancer three day walks and tons of others. Marching for gay pride is just to show that people are proud to be who they are and a fun thing to get together and do in the community, straight and gay alike. You should try to educate yourself on different people and events so you are not close-minded. Less hate, more love.

Your ignorance is astounding.
There are cancer benefits going on all the time. And you know what? A lot of Gays help run those benefits and we contribute to them too!
Satanists can have a parade if they want. Noone is preventing them.
Having a gay pride is one thing we get to do once a year to strut our stuff. The rest of the year we live in a straight world.

There are marches and races and other stuff too. And a strait march can be made as long as it's not turned into a hate march like many would take it to be!

Not everyone shares your religious views. That's kind of the point of said parades. Also, I find it interesting that you can't seem to decide if it's a disease or a sin. Can't be both honey.

If you want to organize a parade, then do so. Don't hate on the gay folks for being together enough to do so.

I'd be more interested in a "This is how to type" parade.
Maybe a "Learn English While You Walk" parade.
How about a "Punctuation & You" parade?
Or my favorite...
The 15th Annual "Make Friggin Sense" parade.
I can see it now...
