What are general aviation flights? What are planes like a Cessna used for. I know that GA includes 'private jets' which are often semi-commercial. But what else could people be doing in the air?

The possibilities are endless. Many are business people travelling from city to city for meetings. Others may be taking people on airplane rides, or arial photography, while still others may be making deliveries in an emergency. If you need to get certain medical equipment or supplies to a specific place in a hurry and it's 120 miles away, via airplane would be the fastest. You can get it there in about an hour. Via car would be 2-3 hours. Courier service would be overnight.

I've rented airplanes to travel with. I took one from S. California to Montana to visit a brother. I've been to the Grand Canyon in a small airplane. One of my brothers and I went to santa Barbara for lunch one day. I've done some aerial photography. Flying can be relaxing and a great thing to do on a date.
