The antics, the day dreamsequence would be just like rugrats i think it would be AWSOME.

It would be nice to see a cartoon, but Bill Watterson, the creator of Calvin & Hobbes, is rather reclusive and has apparently never approved any sort of licensing for Calvin & Hobbes--aside from books collecting the strips and a few rare pieces (http://ignatz.brinkster.net/citems.html ), any C&H "merchandise" you see are unauthorized bootlegs. I just don't see him giving the greenlight to a TV series.

Actually, I think I might disagree. I love Calvin and Hobbes, one the funniest comics of all time. But, I think Calvin and Hobbes is so funny because so much of the action takes place in the reader's imagination. Calvin and Hobbes releases the kid's imagination in all of us. The crazy things that they do/encounter really reminds me of being a kid, and being a kid is all about using your imagination.
I think a cartoon would fill in too many of the blanks.

I think it would be great. But in today's world of anime garbage, it might not do as well.
