My studies and proof of the nonexistence of god go far beyond this, but this website puts it simply enough that a 5 year old can understand it. Watch the video, if you dare.
The truth is obvious. It's up to you whether you want to accept it or not.
Edit - Chars... I need a good laugh. I'd really like to see you refute even ONE of those arguments... :)

I am not so sure that there is no god, how are you sure that there is a god? There is really no proof. Have you seen the "original"bible and are all the different books written in seperate handwritings? No, nobody has seen it. I believe in a super being, I believe the world has always been here, along with all of the other planets and solar systems. I believe everyone and thing on earth is to teach everyone around them to be a better person. I don't think the bible or god teaches that. People need to help, teach, and guide others.

I'm not sure if god exists or not.
What I'm sure of is : it makes no difference!!!!
And if god doesn't like my living my life without going to church or all this nonsense, then I don't want to be his friend.
It would only prove how narrow minded and prejudiced he his. And I don't want that kind of friends.
As for proof of his nonexistence, there are none. But there are no proof of his existence either... (bible was writen by men, jesus was a man... all prophets were men, not gods. They performed a few magic tricks to fool the feeble minded people who were around them and gathered them to form a sect.)
By the way, have you ever wondered what would have hapened if jesus hadn't been killed on the cross by romans? He would have led a religious sect ! (not necessarily a bad one, but a sect all the same : he might very well have done all this for the power that goes with it. It's the most logical conclusion : jesus had tried to get himself followers so he could live without working anymore, but failed when the roman police discovered his plans to disrupt the economic balance that existed between the different religions at the time.) and the same goes for most of the prophets. The others were just madmen. (most probable explanation is always the simplest)
PS: I do believe in the Great Bunny Rabit, with His Fluffy Ears and Cotton Tail !!! With promises of carrots at every meal after I'm dead if I thank the Great Bunny Rabit for his blessings each and every time I eat one of his Blessed Descendants (either in mushrooms or any other preparation).
The Great Nildroan (red eyed bunny, you wouldn't want to cross his path, he can get angry easily if you dare present him with an offering other than carrots) came to me last month and I wrote what he told me in the Great And Magnificient Book Of Rabits (GAMBOR) which will become as revered as he bible in the 21st century!
(after all, rabbits are so much nicer than men, so why not? )
now, christians, please try and disprove that the Great Bunny Rabbit is the only god.
(and don't forget to drop a golden carrot in the basket before leaving : Nildroan will like it)

I do believe that you have almost answered your own question.
We as atheists believe in things that there is evidence to support, religion has nothing of the sort.
People claim that the bible is proof, how is a book written thousands of years after the alleged events occurred proof, it is not.
Now to address the last part of your question, just because we do not know for an absolute fact how this world and all the creatures on this planet got here (although we do have enough evidence to give us a really good idea of how it happened) does not justify jumping to the conclusion that there is a god who created this.

I don't have proof that there is no god. I actually believe that there might be a god. But, I know that, as a human, I am falible as are all humans. Since all modern religions have been created by humans (calling on god for infallibility doesn't count, neither does claiming that god wrote your holy book. Every religion does that, and most conflict each other).
Thus I am agnostic. I believe that there may be a god, but that I don't know enough to be able to say who's god is the true god, if any are. I live my life morally, using morals proclaimed in all holy books (treat everyone and everything with respect, live peacefully, be honest, etc.)

"Why are you so sure that there is no God?"
It's not that I *am sure* that *there is no God*. It's just that I'm *not sure* that there *is a God*
"What evidence do you have?"
That is a fallacy - it is next to impossible to prove a negative. What evidence do *you* have that *there is a God*?
"Where do you think the world and all of its belongings come from?"
From the same cosmic material that formed the rest of the universe...

Only fools are sure.
Those who dont believe are rarely "certain" there is no god. What we do become certain of is that the god who has been described to us - All knowing - All powerful - loving and wise, cannot be the god that exists if there is one.
Such a god could not allow the atrocities that occur on the Earth each day. Such a god could not damn his children for being of other faiths or just not knowing what to believe.
So most of us arent sure there is NO god..... but if there is one, we're pretty sure he's not the one the bible describes.

Well...we non believers don't work that way. See we look for evidence that something DOES exist...not that it doesn't. Logic works forwards not backwards.
Since there is no evidence I try not to draw conclusions and keep an open mind. If there is a god I think it would be stupid to try and define it.
And lets not get into the bible. "divinely inspired writing" is a cute way of saying I made it all up.

Why are you so sure that there is a god? What evidence do you have? I'm just curious. Where do you think god came from? Tell me......

I don't believe in there being no God (that's an Atheist), I simply can't believe in a benevolent, omnipotent God. It's simply a logical fallacy. If God can do anything, why would he cause all this suffering? In regards to your upcoming point about free will, why do children get diseases? It's definitely God's doing, if he's all-powerful. So, either God is limited in power (which means you will probably stop worshipping him) or he simply isn't good (which means I will NEVER respect him or his followers).
