yeah, I was in the movie bussiness...
did a couple of Movies, one memorable moment was a set we built with a "scotty action figure" set in the cockpit of a mech-tank in a Movie called "Sentinel 2099!"
Look for it, it is being redone soon!
Another I was in the Klingon fan club in my area, had allot of fun, first time I did the make up "all the way" with the humped ridges on my head for the head piece, and a pretty heavy Klingon outfit...
man was it Hot too... My Kids didnt even recognize me and were afraid! LOL! that was a Blast!
I also got to meet Mark Lenard, back in the day he started a diabetes foundation for his daughter... a couple of years later, he left us...
Also met leonard nimoy, in a talk show at a local college, he read a few poems and talked about his book "I am not Spock"! HAHA!
George takai, michele nicoles and my favorite, SCOTTY!! Good ole James doohan! Boy was he an act! having ladies sit on his lap while he signed autographs, and boy does he love his scotch! "no joke"! he loves his scotch for real... on the rocks I might add, Deurs scotch, and its great stuff to say the leaste!
Those were the days! too bad paramount isnt going to make any more Star Trek flicks! :(

I remember going to a convention in Lexington, KY. It was fun and George Takei was there to speak and sign autographs. I remember seeing people dressed up as Klingons. It was kind of cool.
I dislike it when people make fun of Star Trek or the conventions. Star Trek, while admittedly is not always well written or executed, is just something special in pop culture history and will always have meaning to my life. I grew up watching the show and movies and I remember being inspired by Gene Roddenberry's hopeful view of humanity.

Star Trek was an innovative and provocative series. Unfortunately, it's the bad ones that stand out. I still shudder to think that William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy were allowed to make a record. Ugh...

Love ALL Star Trek, yes!! Met William Shatner when he came to my hometown to give a lecture/speech to promote his "album", The Transformed. I still have it, with the ticket stub inside!
Later, I formed a club (not Star Trek) and George Takei was in our local theater promoting something and we got him a tee shirt with our clubs logo on it and we all got our picture taken with him!
They were both, of course, really great guys to talk with and I enjoyed the experience very much. Thanks for the memories!!

I went to a convention and met the actors who played Deana Troi and and Worf. They were so nice, and it was a really neat experience. They signed some books for me.
