Through resent information, notified that my husbands VA benefits have been modified to escape taking care of my husband who is a veteran of the Viet Nam War. No money for the vets, but plenty of money for the Mexican illegals, like food stamp, medicaid, all welfare benefits.Feel the urge to write our Mr. Bush,(who loves his vets) and do allot of complaining!!

twanda, ballerina has the correct information on the President's contact data. You might want to contact your your member of the US House of Representatives (get the right district and he/she will also have a phone number, e-mails,etc) plus your local congressman will have more time (?) and will have an office in his district where he/he lives.

I'd also be curious about why the VA is apparently modifying his benefits. By the way, the President doesn't really make the budget up...too much for any one single person. The OMB (Office of Management and Budget) draws it up and basically committees of the House and the Senate have to agree on what goes before the President for his signature. So in reality, unless the President specifically used his power of the line item veto in the case of your husbands benefits. I do know that Congress has altered the way it allocates funds for medical treatment so is this this reason for the concern? Sorry, none of my business.

What are they teaching kids these days?

The White House has the most famous address in the entire world. Kids growing up in the middle of Brazil, or on the savannas of Africa know it.

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Rather than write the White House, I suggest you contact your local school board and find out why your teachers are slackers (or maybe it's just you).

If they cut is benefits he needs to go to a Dav or other vet center and ask for help. Don't go down without a fight. If he deserves compensation he should get it. They over turn decisions all the time. and the comment some one made about FREE MONEY??????? well we know better than that.

I have a question...what exactly is your husband receiving benefits for? Just because he's a vet doesn't mean he should be getting free money either.
