I provide a list of the scriptures, and a link to even more of them, and am still accused of making false statements. Some of you folks need to be committed.

Because the Judaic-Christian religion created a schizophrenic 'God' and haven't a clue how to resolve the problem.

God doesn't "create evil" because it was a fun thing to do.
He punishes man's evil works by bringing His Judgment-Evil upon the people. There's a reason for His acts of punishment-evil.
Look at the whole Scriptural PICTURE and not just the word "evil" taken out to dwell on its "evilness"
God can do and use whatever "evil" tools He thinks necessary to rule and spank His creation.
How can God be whole if He can only do good?
If He only was able to do good, there would be no
punishment for those that do evil.
So yes, God can and does "create evil " in certain situations for His Own Purpose and Good Will in fulfilling His Plan of Redemption for mankind.
Being God, He knows best in all situations regardless of how our little brains perceive things.
If you're going to learn a lesson about the "evil" that God displays and allows. Study also the other half for there is a perfect balance in God.
He is perfect and His Ways are perfect.

So whats your point? Before you make the same accusation that everyone else is making and getting your answers from sombody else, why dont you do what no one else is doing, and go see why God brings evil on people. Im telling you right now, all these verses arent anything that your hoping them to be. You arent proving any contradictions or a hateful God because you dont see them out of context and assume your write. Ive been told I sound ignorant when i tried to speak of creation and evolution and i didnt know alot about evolution, so just to let you know. You can probably scare those little kids with your perverted, unrepentent, old nature eye but not people who know Gods word. In alot of ways you sound ignorent and obnoxious. Remember, your not changing anything or proving anything but knowing people like you, you will continue to do these games that you just copied from someone else. Im going to pray for you and i HOPE you come to a saving grace of understanding Gods Word and not a closed minded one. Oh and by the way, i am opened minded as long as somone can prove to me in scripture. God Bless

Indeed, God has the ability to bring evil upon individuals. But he is not wicked. When he destroys wicked people, he is bringing evil upon them. As a matter of fact, anything that causes someone pain, harm, or injury is considered to be evil. Of course God doesn't take delight in doing this, but he does when it is necessary. Also, remember "When under trial, let no one say: "I am being tried by God." For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone." (James 1:13) This means that God will not bring evil upon you for the purpose of testing your faithfulness to him. A loving God wouldn't do such a thing. Also remember that Satan created the wicked individual that he is, not God. It's called free will, and we all have it.

I've often wondered the same thing. I'm pretty sure that somewhere between "the alpha and the omega" and the "beginning and the end" is evil. All you have to do is actually...you know...READ the bible to realize that their god isn't the nicest god in history....without being part evil how could it be omni-anything? Doesn't make sense. But...why do we need things to make sense when we can just close our eyes, nod our heads, and agree?

Just as God clothed the soil-man and his help-meet when He cast them out of Eden, so did He clothe the angels who conspired with Lucifer when He cast them out of the Kingdom of Heaven. God gave them the darkness, and under such coverings, evil could flourish. When we hide under coverings of evil, our sins can flourish. But, then, God never told the fallen angels to enter this world, just as He commanded Cain not to settle, but rather to wander the earth. What happened when Cain went against God, and settled? The first "city" came into existence. What happened after the fallen angels came into this world? The first sin. (It's no surprise the highest crime rates are in big cities.) I guess my point is, God created evil to be a covering. Because, our will to choose righteousness comes with the equal right to choose darkness instead.

I may be among the few, but since I believe that "God created all things and nothing was created that did not come from him" That means He had to create to way for evil (or what we consider evil).
Remember, God is all things, He made them, He is them, and only He knows what to do with all of them.

God is "light" removing light creates darkness.... When God removes Himself, it creates evil. When He removes Himself from people, countries etc... evil takes place.
BTW it's not a bad question, you should try asking good questions like these without the condescending tone and I'm sure you will get more intelligent responses.

The only way a Christian could coherently say that God is not the source of evil is to admit that the scriptures are a fallible record of human religious thought. And that their own moral intuitions are superior to those ancient texts.
Hey, I just noticed -- "the book they worship" -- nice.

Maybe your question should be "Why do some Christians . . .?" You shouldn't generalize. That's like saying "All blonds are stupid." If you read and become familiar with the Bible, then you know the answer to spiritual questions and can make your own conclusions. Trust the Word of God - the Bible - not what you hear from others.
