The only reason why it is teen game is because it's on the internet.
There is no violence atall but because your meeting real people on the internet it has to be a teen game. Tell them it was based on a childrens comic book which your can get at any Borders or Barnes & Noble

I play COH. Tell them it's good vs. evil. You play the super hero and go on missions to help people, rescue individuals and find stolen objects using your powers. The violence is not as bad as they think and there is no bloodshed. You would have a tougher time convincing them to get you City of Villians.
