Start a new game, then press "~" , then type bot_add.........n if you want to kill them type bot_kill........enjoy :)

You DON"T. You get online and play against REAL people. Although playing against bots would help you learn the map before going online and having your **** handed to you by those that have the things memorized backwards, forwards, mirrored, upsidedown, etc. I'm sure www.planethalflife.com has the info you're seeking.
