Huzzah!

I played Half-Life a lot, and I play Half-Life2 even more. When I return from vacation and move into college, I'm gonna buy the first episode and begin playing. I can hardly wait!

Plus, with the campus' pipes (T1), I'll be able to play online a lot more as well... Ooo, I can hardly wait!

Thank you, Valve. Thank you.

HL2 was pathetic. Flawless physics engine abused to hell and back with lifeless visuals and zero plot. Completely unacceptable. It was blown away by the release of Doom3 (one of the most exciting and disturbing PC shooters ever made) and then blown to pieces by the release of Quake 4. The only saving grace was that engine was used to make the technical masterpiece that was F.E.A.R. The game was a bit uninspired with the visuals and the plot but the gameplay and AI.....whoooooaaaaa.

If you are looking for something new, Prey just came out. I'm only halfway through it but the game kicks major ***. It's pretty unique in the system it uses for physics. Very common to switch gravity orientations in that game. You shoot a switch and suddenly the ceiling or a wall becomes the floor. Aliens attack you from different orientations alot (ie their floor is your ceiling etc.) It's pretty challenging and alot of fun to play. However, certain areas will give you vertigo. It's sure to be game of the year.

0.5-life (i'm speaking HL1 right here) proved which you will have greater effective than in basic terms a *reason* to shoot enemies - you will have a cinematic tale to push you alongside which comprise memorable characters, some thing maximum video games in the previous style of neglected.

I do. Unlike Doom and Unreal the main character is a regular guy thrown in a crazy situation. That's what's up. And I usually end up playing them all night untill my eyes bleed.
