Recently in Montreal, Canada, I was pulled over by a man claiming to be a cop, he was not in a uniforme nor a police car, he asked for all my information without showing me a badge, didn't aks for one, i was too nervous. I am a new driver, he was swearing at me and asked me If I was drunk? Is he allowed doing that?

He cut me off on purpose or accident then I cut him off...one of three things he might have been. He could have wanted to kick my *** and then he saw I was a kid, he just wanted to **** with me, he could have been an undercove cop or he might have just been an *******. The u.s and canada rules are the same.

yes they are supposed identify themselves as police after pulling you over and telling you why they did.and showing you their badge and id.
may have been a citizen acting as a cop or an off duty cop.
no they are not supposed to swear at you. you can call into the station and file an abuse report on the officer in question . he may have been under the influence himself.

Here they have show police I.D. They are usually in uniform, the non uniformed don't do traffic.
I would report the inicident to the nearest police station commander.
Why did he pull you over to start with?

Don't know about Canada, in the U.S. the police can do whatever they want, they've got the guns. That's why they advocate disarming the populace.

NO AND EVEN IF HE WAS A COP HE COULDNT ASK U TO PULL OVER AND SHOW UR LICENSE AND REGISTRATION OR EVEN TELL U TO GET OUT THE CAR OR TO SEARCH UR CAR IF HE DIDNT HAVE A PROBABLE CAUSE(I THINK THATS WHAT ITS CALLED)WELL YEA THAT MEANS HE HAS TO HAVE A GOOD REASON AND IF HE DOESNT THEN U DONT HAVE TO SHOW HIM ANYTHING OR DO ANYTHING (I LEARNED THAT IN SCHOOL) BUT I DUNNO IF THAT APPLIES TO CANADA

my friend had an issue and the watch commander showed up and handled the issue professionally
