you have to get to the bottom of why. Here are some things to ask yourself before you speak with him:
Does he treat everyone this way or just you?
has this always gone on?
If not, can you recall when it started and what events surrounded it?
Has he mentioned any specific issues that he has with you/the relationship? If so, are you taking them serious?
is he having some trouble at work?
what is it exactly that you want from him and the relationship?
THen you need to have a conversation about partnerships. Once you've established what it is that YOU want from him and the relationship-based on your core values, explain them to him and tell him EXACTLY what you want and need from him and then ask what he wants and needs from you,
I would also recommend some couples counseling. You won't get anywhere just accepting that he;s an ***. People act out when something is bothering them so you need to get to the bottom of it without judging, being defensive, being angry or resentful. If you wait too long, you will become all of these things and the relationship will disintegrate.

They are all that way.
Suit yourself.
If you are happy, he's not the problem.
You have three choices:
Leave him
Love him
Or go to counseling.
